AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES |

The agricultural activities of the company involve all the stages and aspects of poultry farming; including also feed manufacturing plant, a hatchery and a pig farm. |

A key factor for animal health is the quality of the feed and the grain incorporated in it. Therefore the company produces feeds of its own and has installed up-to-date silos, guaranteeing the quality of the grain. |

The agricultural management of the company is based on the ancient traditions in poultry farming and feeding diets containing natural feed ingredients. The corporate policy does not admit the use of growth promoting antibiotics and enzymes improving the feed digestibility. |

Thus the company provides for a longer fattening period between 45 - 55 days for the broilers to give enough time to the chicks to develop their structure and respectively taste qualities of meat, unlike the state-of-the-art technologies for animal feeding aiming at forced fattening, which is more efficient, but affects the meat quality, depriving it of its taste. |

The company's farms are provided with latest and up-to-date equipment, guaranteeing optimum conditions for bird rearing and their health maintenance. Another important factor for quality is the bird stocking density. All the poultry |

houses are provided with enough space according to the age and type of the birds. The commercial layers are raised on the floor, not in cages. The so-called freely moving hens have all the living conditions similar to the home-raised laying hens. |

MEAT PRODUCTION, MEAT PROCESSING AND DISTRIBUTION |

The production, processing and distribution of poultry meat is performed by the affiliate company DJIEV – Ę Ltd., dealing with slaughtering of the broiler chicks, producing sausages and delicatessen and managing the retail shops of the company. |

The company disposes of: |

The company produces over 60 articles of poultry meat, including chicken parts, mincemeat and pre-packed raw meat products, sausages and delicatessen of poultry meat and pork, as well as salami and lukanki (flat sausages) of poultry and pork meat. |

All the products made by the company consist only of meat from the animals grown in the company’s farms. The products made contain neither soy ingredients, filling substances, nor other meat substitutes, but only pure and fresh meat from company’s own farms. |

The quality control throughout the entire production cycle from the feeds via the farm to the finished product makes us feel convinced that we manage the quality at each stage and we offer products of fully guaranteed quality. |

The products are marketed by the company mainly through the 10 company's retail outlets on the territory of Sofia and the 10 representative shops, supplied every day. |

GAS SUPPLY |

Another activity of DJIEV JSC is transmission and supply of natural gas to the Kostinbrod Municipality. |
|
|
This activity is effected by the company Kostinbrodgas Ltd., holder of a license for public supply of natural gas to Kostinbrod Municipality. This activity is effected by the company together with the designing company Eurogascompany, having a long-term experience in construction of gas transmission networks. The company intends to complete the gas-supply system of Kostinbrod municipality within 10 years. The company has already supplied with natural gas the largest industries in Kostinbrod, as well as all the production farms and the departments of the poultry-processing plant. |
